Cables Type Purpose Joint Cable This cable provides a means to connect both a barcode scanner and barcode printer to a single DB9 serial com port. The additional advantage to this cable is that it eliminate the need to install hardware drivers. Porter Lee applications have drivers imbedded which utilize this cable. Serial Cable Use this cable to connect barcode printers to your pc and utilize the imbedded printer driver with the Porter Lee applications. USB Cable Use this cable to connect barcode printers and other USB devices. Utilizing this type of connection will require the installation of the device driver prior to connecting the USB cable. USB to Serial Adaptor If the device you are installing is only available as a serial device and no serial port is available on your pc. This adaptor may provide you with a simple solution.
